It's official... Jacob took his first consecutive steps today (5 to be exact), on his 11 month birthday. My last baby is that much less of a baby anymore. I'm a little sad that this is the last time I'll experience a grinning, wavering baby trying out his legs for the first time. Its just such a special moment because part of you never really believes that they'll do it until you see it. It seems to take so long for them to get everything in working order. Strength, Check. Balance, Check. Courage, Check. Then all at once, for no apparent reason at all, they just...do it. I always wonder what drives them to the point where they learn that walking is what they are supposed to be doing, and what makes them decide that today is the day they are going to try it?
Whatever the reason, they sure are adorable...

That's so exciting! Glad I took a chance and checked your blog this evening! Loved the pictures showing Jacob's teeth too. Beautiful picture of Hannah and Jacob at the beginning.
I can't believe how big he is! Those teeth always make them look older!
